Daew is a cop who has nailed the evil gunrunner General Yang, but his partner is killed in the case and Daew becomes depressed. However, his sister asks him to join her and some of her athlete friends to a small village to give food and toys to the villagers. What starts out as a trip to help people turns into a nightmare when Yang’s men arrive at the village and take over, demanding the release of Yang or a nuclear missile will hit Bangkok. When villagers are killed left and right, Daew and the athletes must start a revolution against the tyranny before it’s too late.

Film Review

If you like amazing stunts and awesome fight sequences then this movie is for you. Its well done, and I am still impressed with the lengths they go to create so many dangerous stunts. Its a very original action film. The story line might not be appealing to westerners but its is definitely worth watching. During the movie you will see some amazing camera work that will leave you wondering how they go about doing it. The director is very creative and you can surely sense some Ong Bak originality and style. I would have liked to see a little more Thai fighting, but I am content. Highly recommended!

Sure, the director from Ong Bak the Thai Warrior is terrific. Sure there are some truly amazing fight sequences. Sure it's nicely shot. Sure there are some amazing locations and full-sized explosions. Besides all of this, this movie was barely watch-able. Why? Because NOTHING HAPPENS FOR FORTY MINUTES!!!! After this amazing opening scene we're subjected to an endless array of set-ups that were unbearable. First the star is brooding, then his sister's brooding (and VERY hot), then they're traveling to the country, then they're meeting the villagers. All of these scenes had a modicum of charm but strung back-to-back they just made for endless set up that rose the dramatic level about zero percent. I strongly recommend this film to karate movie fans, but only if your remote is working properly. You NEED it for this flick.
